Collaboration Milestones!

Thus far the collaboration project has been a great learning experience.  I have learned great communication skills, and efficiency.  Our group has accomplished many things in the time that we have worked together.  All three of us get along well, there has not been any conflict between us.  In the past I have had school group projects where conflict arose because of differing opinions.  We were able to split up the final paper very efficiently and equally.  Each of us chose two sections and everyone was fine with the two that they ended up with.  I chose to do the first two sections problem and rationale, and data and software, Elle chose to do data, and people, and Avery chose to do procedures and policies, and feedback.  Another accomplishment that we achieved was that we all decided to make videos for the final project.  I think that all of us presenting videos will show consistency and organization when we are all sharing our final projects on each others sites.

Even though we have been able to accomplish these goals there are still things that I hope to improve on among our group.  One of the things that has been a recent problem is communication.  Our group has an iMessage group chat that was active up until a week ago.  There were a few communication errors because not everyone in the group was responding.  This lead to some issues with the rough draft because some of us were unsure which parts were completed.  This being said it was not a huge set back and our group will still be able to be successful in the end.   Another goal that I hope to accomplish is that we include a sufficient amount of scholarly sources in our final draft.  So far we do not have any sources in our rough draft and our goal is to have at least 2 in every section.

We are going to utilize the skills that we have learned about technology to create our videos and edit them so they look as professional as possible.  Additionally, I will most likely take a screen cast at one point in my video which is a specific skill I learned from this class.
